If you’ve been around here much at all, you know I like lists. I don’t consider myself a list chaser, but my personality lends itself to “to-do” lists. Pleasure and satisfaction come when I can check something off. But I always take time to enjoy the course and people I’m seeing that day. I believe those two things can coexist nicely, so I don’t like the negative connotation around “list chasing”.
I’m 8 years into this monumental task of playing four different Top 100 lists. Right now the progress sits at 117/238 courses (there’s some overlap among the lists). All of the remaining private courses are difficult to access. Additionally, some of the public ones are tough as well due to proximity. None of this is meant to be viewed as complaining, quite the opposite. This just means it will more fulfilling with each new course played.
To that end, I want to thank all of you in the golf world that read this site. I’m incredibly grateful for all the help I’ve received along the way to play the courses I have so far. Few things in the world give me equal pleasure as seeing a new golf course. On top of that, getting to meet new people all over is an incredible added bonus.
I hope to see you on a golf course somewhere soon.
