They have plenty of great videos and their podcast is great. However, I want to single out one particular project they’ve done recently. It’s called Strapped and it features Big Randy, Neil, and DJ from the NLU crew.
The premise is Randy and Neil have a budget of $500 for a three-round weekend. They each have one sleeve of balls only but they can replace/add any with any Callaway they find. There are also some other rules but that’s for you to find out when you watch.
What I like about Strapped is the camaraderie between Randy and Neil. I enjoy their senses of humor and general view of golf. With their budget constraints, they play some charming courses and stay in some even more interesting rental rooms.
So far the boys have checked out Iowa and New England. I cannot wait to see where they will be going next.
On NLU’s other travel series, Tourist Sauce, the trips are spectacular but they are likely once in a lifetime trips for people. For some, they may never get to go to Australia or Scotland. I still thoroughly enjoy them. Strapped provides another view that I think more people can aspire to recreate. Golf is meant to be enjoyed and savored, hopefully by many. Strapped captures the inherent joy in golf with a friend on some new courses.
