For a lot of golfers, a nice beer is what really caps the round off at the 19th hole. Of course, I have indulged that particular choice many times. I am a huge fan of great beer.
For this post, however, I am going with a little concoction known as the Transfusion. I was introduced to this drink when I was reading a post by my friend Steve at golftripper.com. The ingredients are as follows:
- 1 part vodka
- 1 part ginger ale
- 1 part grape juice
- 1 lime wedge
The best way to serve the drink is in a tall glass with crushed ice. It is particularly associated with golf because golf course bars tend to stock grape juice much more than regular bars. This is also a great drink for when the temperature warms up. It is light enough to drink in a hot, summer sun.
Let me know what you like to finish off the round with? It doesn’t have to be alcoholic by the way! All is welcome at the 19th hole.
Jimmy,
It certainly depends on the day and the situation. I’m not opposed to a cold beer on the patio. Often times my wife and I will enjoy a glass of wine after a round as well. Red wine hits the spot on a cooler day. If I don’t feel like alcohol, I’ll order an Arnie.
Cheers!

I am not a big drinker. If I do have something, it is usually a beer. I like to try locally brewed if possible. Normally though, I drink water.
Cheers

Definitely a local red ale if one is available.
A jack and coke or some scotch =)
